With their historical reliability our ESP Sensors have proven to be superior sensors.

The sensors can be attached to any ESP motor to record and measure the following parameters:

  • Pump intake pressure & temperature
  • Discharge pressure & temperature
  • Motor oil & motor winding temperature
  • Vibration (X&Y Axis)
  • Current leakage

Monitoring and Fit: Our ESP gauges are equipped with an RTD motor temperature sensor to record motor temperature winding. The vibration feature measures both x and y axis and detects increasing vibration caused by worn or damaged pump and motor components. This provides the operator with information to help protect the ESP system.

Rugged and Reliable Design: For standard wells, Sercel-GRC offers the ESP sensor system using a rugged, accurate parallel plate gap capacitance transducer. This transducer was designed and patented by GRC specifically for oil field applications. When extreme reservoir accuracy is needed, Sercel-GRC also offers an ESP sensor using a Quartz Transducer for ultimate pressure and temperature accuracy.

Reliable Data: Data acquired from the downhole sensor is transmitted to the surface through the motor power supply cable and received by Sercel-GRC’s Scout 3000™ ESP Surface Monitoring System or SPS readout. Data received by the SCOUT-3000™ ESP Surface Monitoring System is decoded and translated into pressure and temperature values, which are easily stored, displayed and accessed by computer. Sercel-GRC surface equipment can provide various forms of communication such as 4-20mA, RS-485 (MODBUS) and RS-232."
